The Sony brand on a whole has taken a beaten lately, and although the company has made some wrong steps, a perfect storm of natural disasters and currency issues are more the cause than anything else. Sony, however, is hoping to rebound this year, and according to the firm’s chairman Kaz Hirai, PlayStation will lead the way.
Hirai also said the release of Vita will be “pivotal” to returning the company back to profitability, the firm’s latest handheld console which goes on sale February 22nd in the west.
