Rumor: No PS3 Lag Fix In Skyrim Patch 1.04

Rumor: No PS3 Lag Fix In Skyrim Patch 1.04

Skyrim patch 1.04 will soon be deployed across platforms, but for gamers expecting a lag fix on the PS3 version of the game, don’t count on it, as Bethesda’s said owners of said version will have to wait longer because it’s taking some time to resolve the issues.

A Gamespot forum user who goes by the name of Lazy_Marine contacted Bethesda concerning the incessant lag the PS3 version of Skyrim suffers, and the response he got wasn’t flattering: the firm told the user they’re aware of the lag, but it’s taking a while to fix, and that it will not come in patch 1.4, but rather at a later date.

We’ve already outlined what PS3 gamers want from Skyrim patch 1.04, including: Save File Issue, Lag, Walking through mountains, Getting stuck in mountains, Magic Resistance. However if Bethesda can’t meet with these demands, it might be a downhill spiral from henceforth. I’m not sure we can ask gamers to be more patient that they’ve already been.

eh, im glad i struck bugthesda off my buy list years ago!
when they learn how to release a working game on release, and 10 in a row, then maybe ill think of coming back.
till then im not wasting my cash, nor my time.
i buy games so i can play them the DAY i buy them!
not 6 months AFTER i buy them!

thanks your article gave me a good laugh. I might as well ask eric the busboy for my skyrim news as well

Why would you laugh? The forum poster is as legit a gamer as they get, and Bethesda hasn’t been able to fix the problem up to this present day, so what makes you think contrary? I say the more pressure that’s on them, the harder they’ll work to fix the problem. PS3 gamers deserve better from a game that’s been on the market for months!

How can we take this blog seriously when you are quoting as fact a forum post from somebody you don’t even know?

Even though the title reads “Rumor”, on the first paragraph you write this: “but for gamers expecting a lag fix on the PS3 version of the game, don’t count on it, as Bethesda’s said owners of said version will have to wait longer because it’s taking some time to resolve the issues.”

Seriously? Bethesda says that? Proof or it didn’t happen…

How do you know this forum poster is “As legit a gamer as they get”? Is it because he has 800 posts? LOL

In your reply above you come across as an angry ps3 customer (Which is understandable) that wants to spread false rumors to put “pressure” on Bethesda to fix this issue.

“How can we take this blog seriously when you are quoting as fact a forum post from somebody you don’t even know?” Chanfle, it says “RUMOR”, I’m sure you know how to read, so stop acting like you didn’t see it. Also, when Bethesda’s fixed the issue, come back and rant because as you know they’ve been promising a fix for a long time but hasn’t been able to come through.

Lets all hope that Bethesda gets the ps3 issues fixed in1.04. I have been unable to play my skyrim for Weeks due to terrible lag and load times probably because of my 26 mb save file. I have tried almost all the fixes short of popping in a 7200 rpm hd. If we do not get a fix soon we all need to come together and contact Bethesda requesting some sort of compensation for not being able to enjoy the game, half the fun of the elder scrolls is achieving things before your friends, something that has long passed us. If they refuse, which they likely will because they already have our money we let them know wait till the next big Bethesda release. We then tell them we all know the next release will inherently have bugs and based on how you handled the skyrim fiasco with ps3 users we will boycott your future products. Bethesda needs to realize you can only kick a dog for so long before he turns and bites the leg that has been kicking him.

One more thing, I am not saying a company like Bethesda should make bugless games that would not be realistc. What I am saying is when a company makes a defective product (lets be honest this is what we are dealing with) its all about how they handle the situation. A simple game voucher free dlc when its fixed for ps3 users or something will go a long way. When my company has a customer return we have an outlined corrective action and do everything we can to make it right, your customers are your bread and butter

I agree with you, streetglide. Your points are valid.
