Skyrim’s the limit.
Early sales reports are suggesting that Bethesda’s latest RPG epic, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has sold a mammoth 3.4 million copies globally in just two days.
The game’s up 600 percent over Oblivion’s 490k opening across PS3 and X360, an early indication that Skyrim will beat Oblivion’s numbers in a matter of weeks. 59 percent of units were sold on the X360 (over 2 million copies) while 27 percent of gamers bought the PS3 version, and 14 percent on PC.
“2.5 million of the total sold in Americas, with the remaining 950,000 units in EMEAA,” said VGChartz.
2011 is turning out to be one mighty year for the gamers and the industry on a whole. Pockets are dry all over, I’m sure.
