Need For Speed: The Run Reviews Are Racing Down Internet Lane, Epic Fail?

Need For Speed: The Run Reviews Are Racing Down Internet Lane, Epic Fail?

Need For Speed: The Run reviews have throttle into high and appearing all over gaming’s web but sadly, it’s looking like you should let this one slip.

IGN – 6.5/10

Eurogamer – 5/10

Joystiq – 3/5

Game Trailers – 8.4/10

UtraTech – N/A

“Need for Speed: The Run has a good racer inside it. It can be exciting and visceral, and there were numerous times in the game where I stopped and said, “Sh–, that was cool.” But all this awesome racing action gets somewhat lost amid the nonexistent story, the dumb/scripted AI, the lack of options, and the overall shortness of the game. The Run is not a marathon racing game, it’s a quick and dirty drag race,” concluded IGN.

Need For Speed: The Run comes out tomorrow on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

since when is a racing game not having a story a bad thing?
so that means GT5 and forza 4 also suck because they have no stories?
see what i mean about reviewers slamming 1 game for something then giving others free passes?
the AI in racing games has always been a bit iffy, this is nothing new!
the AI in GT5 and especially forza 4 was laughable, but i dont see people giving that 5s!
ok its short, but as DICE said better live short and go out with a bang, then live forever and go out with a whimper.
or as cole said to zeeke, half as long, twice as bright!
i think people are just being a little too nitpicky!
only problem i noticed in the demo was the sluggish unresponsive weighty controls.
funny how no one ever comments on that!
same thing with hot pursuit, that problem totally destroyed the game!

MW3 reviews should have been that way cause that game sucks so bad. MW2 & COD4 are a million times better

At E3 they complained that the game had a lot of QTE’s, they removed most of them in the final game. The complained about the game having a large story and barely and driving aspect so they removed most of story and now they complain about a lacking story? Seriously these people, Black Box should stop listenning to fanboys…

thats why you cant listen to these idiots, you just make the game you want to make and it will do well.
    look at assassins creed.
the twitch gamers who cant keep focused on something for more then 2 minutes without doing something complained that the death sequences in the original AC were too long and boring, so ubisoft removed them.
they were the best part of the game!
another thing we have COD to thank for, its turned everyone into a bunch of red bull addicts who have a attention span of 23 seconds!
