Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia believes Modern Warfare 3 will sell 6 million copies today alone, which would be 1 milion over Black Ops’ launch numbers.
“We expect MW3 to grow 10% versus last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, which has sold through more than 25 million units life-to date. We expect 5.5M-6.0M unit sales of MW3 on day 1 and nearly 18M units in the December quarter,” said the analyst in a note.
