It’s the weekend, friends. PS3′s highest anticipated title is now available and we’re sure it’s eating away most of your weekend hours. But frankly, not everyone will be playing Naughty Dog’s masterpiece and some game on other machines so although it’s Uncharted weekend here, we’d still love to know what you’re playing.
I’ll be all over Uncharted 3 this weekend. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, and as soon as I’m done with single-player, I’ll give MP a go.
I’ll also get in some Battlefield 3 and Killzone 3 action. Tuesday’s Modern Warfare 3 and I’m wondering if I’ll ever go back to the two aforementioned titles. We shall see.

i was really surprised and disappointed by uncharted 3.
surprised because i thought it would be exactly like uncharted 2, all big set pieces, ridiculous story and poor repetitive gameplay.
surprising and happily it is not, though disappointed because its removed all the things that made its predecessor so good.
this is EXACTLY like KZ3!
KZ3 added everything i wanted over 2, but it also removed everything that made that game so good.
uncharted 3s done exactly the same!
when your creating a sequel your suppose to carry over what everyone liked, remove what everyone hated, and improve what you can improve.
but they havent, they removed allot of the things people liked, kept the things people hated, and slightly but not enough improved things they could of and needed improvement.
the polish is really lacking too.
i was lucky enough not to get it but theres posts exploding everywhere of angry fans having a problem where a cut scene wont trigger thus stopping them from progressing in the game.
i wont link to the article i found because theres videos of one of the last missions and i dont want it spoiled for anyone.
though just make sure you frequently make multiple saves so if that does happen to you then you can reload a different save and hopefully that will fix it.
what dont you think is disappointing nick? like really almost every game that releases, you always have something to complain about and you have the nerve talk about me saying something sucks lol. AnyWAYYY…… i think its the best out of the series, though i was expecting something a little supernatural at the end like the other two but its no a game changer. and the multiplayer is very well done though i really freaking hate the buddy system and power plays my only annoyances.
@Ghost: I agree with you there. I don’t know where all his complaints are coming from. Nick you did say you were really enjoying it….happened?
they removed the boss battles like the chopper battle and i really missed the set pieces.
yea theres a few but theres far less then what there was in 2.
theres allot less platforming puzzles too, most of the puzzles now are move this here.
in 2 though most of them were about climbing around the level moving things, like the level in tibet where you first meet elana and you have to line up the arms on the statue so you can shove the purma dagger in and unlock the underground passageway.
then you get another puzzle exactly the same climbing around the room hitting switches.
leaping around the room was half the fun of the game, but with this all thats gone now most of the puzzles have you firmly on the ground carrying around things.
allot of drakes humour and charms gone too, throughout the last game he was constantly chatting up either elana or chloe, or joking around with sully.
in this though its almost like hes taken a more serious tone, he still jokes around but allot of his witty charm is gone.
it starts off far too slow too, uncharted 2 started off with that massive train scene but this starts off with a boring bar brawl.
first time you get to a scene like the train scene in uncharted 2 is the plane level which is over 3/4s of the way through the game!
everything that made uncharted 2 so good is either gone or toned down.
the grand scale of the game just feels allot smaller, like they really had to rush the game to get it finished.
can’t read any of this yet. i’m just about to start playing it. finally!!! had it since day 1 but didn’t have time to play it.
