And The Best-Selling Game In 2011 Is…

You’ll be utterly surprised.

The information was made available for an NPD Chart detailing the best selling games from Jaunary to September 2011, and was hidden in Nintendo’s semi-annual financial results briefing.

1. Just Dance 2 – Ubisoft, Wii
2. Pokemon White – Nintendo, DS
3. Gears of War 3 – Microsoft, 360
4. Pokemon Black – Nintendo, DS
5. Call of Duty: Black Ops – Activision, 360
6. Zumba Fitness: Join The Party – Majesco, Wii
7. Madden NFL 12 – Electronic Arts, 360
8. Call of Duty: Black Ops – Activision, PS3
9. Madden NFL 12 – Electronic Arts, PS3
10. New Super Mario Bros. DS – Nintendo, DS
11. Michael Jackson: The Experience – Ubisoft, Wii
12. NBA 2K11 – 2K Sports, 360
13. L.A. Noire – Rockstar, 360
14. Dance Central – MTV Games, 360
15. Mortal Kombat – Warner Bros., PS3
16. Mortal Kombat – Warner Bros., 360
17. Homefront – THQ, 360
18. Kinect Sports – Microsoft, 360
19. NCAA Football 12 – Electronic Arts, 360
20. New Super Mario Bros. Wii – Nintendo, Wii

North America’s Dance fever isn’t going away anytime soon, it seems. As Just Dance 2 tops the list. Other notables include Xbox 360 exclusive Gears of War 3 and last year’s hit Call of Duty: Black Ops. That game has tremendous staying power.

Thanks, GI.

    just dance?
    seriously!?!?!?!?
my god, we really are getting taken over by a bunch of soccer moms!
oh ninty look what you have done, you have doomed us all!
when a crappy dancing game is outselling one of the biggest franchises of all time, and one of the 360s biggest exclusives you know its time to run to the hills and barricade the doors!
