Skyrim Is A Lot Like Fallout, Says Bethesda

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was a great game, but it had its problems. Skyrim, however, won’t suffer from the many issues that plagued the former game and that’s all because of Fallout 3 has advanced Bethesda’s technology.

“[Skyrim]’s a lot more like Fallout 3, where as you level up you are going to see harder things, but the easier things stay around as well,” said game director Todd Howard.

“There’s very few completely random conversations. We’ve gone more towards a system, like we did in Fallout 3, where they have a specific conversation with a specific person about various topics.”

In conclusion, Howard said: “We realized in Fallout 3 that that kind of environmental storytelling, where you come upon a little scene, is really good, and so we’ve tried to do it a lot more.”

Thanks, Ripten.

    yea right!
i loved fallout 3 (besides it running like a game thats been in development for 6 weeks!).
skyrim though, well, waiting in line at the expo with nothing to do but stare at the ceiling was more entertaining then watching the trailer they showed to us!
i mean come on, how can the game be 2 weeks off and not have playable code for show!?
that and MW3 were the ONLY games at the show that were not playable!
hell, even lollipop chainsaw which is not coming out for at least another year was playable!
