EA Caught Trying To Manipulate Battlefield 3 Review Scores

The industry’s dirty little secret rares its head big and clear once again. EA’s been caught trying to manipulate review scores for Battlefield 3, the publisher’s biggest investment yet.

According to reports coming from the Norwegian press, EA has been denying review copies of Battlefield 3 to journalists and publications it deems hostile to the shooter, and for those if chooses to send early copies to, the firm first sends an intense questionnaire to affirm the reviewer’s love for Battlefield 3.

But what’s even worse, not only is EA sifting through reviewers to find those who are favorable to their game, the company’s also trying to compel those selected to get early review copies of Battlefield 3 to say it is somehow better than Call of Duty titles in their reviews.

This is damming evidence, and EA Norway has responded with a swift apology, claiming the questionnaire was sent out because of “human error”.

I’m sorry, but the fact that there’s a questionnaire with such intense questions at all says a lot. Too much, to be honest.

We’ll keep you posted as this story develops.

Hahaha! Human error? Human error created the questionnaire that wasn’t supposed to go out? I love how the lies are so blatantly obvious and they still say human error.
EA is the publisher, Dice is the developer. I have every faith in DICE to commit to this game….unlike the MP in Medal of Honor. Ugh. I still get shivers.

I felt like MOH MP was a side project. You know, one of the, “get to it when you can”, types.
You could tell it was going to be bad news when you heard that the SP was one game engine and the MP was another.

Actually…I hear Danger Close might actually be working on another military style shooter. I am not sure if it is First or Third person. They do have potential as I really enjoyed the single player for MoH but it was way too short. They do know how to deliever an authentic experience.
