You think your student loans debts are a bit much to handle? Early this week we heard that L.A. Noire’s developer “Team Bondi” was on the road to closing their doors. This was due to a long period of accusations of an abusive work environment. Now if you thought that was already a big problem, Team Bondi has even more to add to their plate.
Documents filed through the Australian Securities and Investment Commission seem to point to the fact that Team Bondi owes $1.4 million Australian dollars ($1.37M) to it’s creditors.
The documents seem to include over 30 Team Bondi employees that are owed values ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 each. The boss of Team Bondi, Brendan McNamara, is on the top of the list with an owed amount of $102,000.
It gets worse. Not only does Team Bondi owe money to the employees but they also owe a number of companies including Depth Analysis, the company that created the technology that was used to create the life-like facial expressions in L.A. Noire.
If I were Team Bondi, I’d be sweating up a storm right now.

sadly thats why the studio has closed down.
god dam it, the one game development studio in sydney just had to shut its doors!
considering all the allegations and issues they have had with development though id say there lucky to only be under 1.4M!
theres still a investigation going on the working conditions at the studio, and the uncredited developers.
so depending on how that turns out that could put them in even more hot water!
one things for sure though, its not exactly looking good on 2K and R*.
this makes the 4th company against them complaining of unfair expectations and unlawful practices and requirements.
i still remember reading the letter a disgruntled wife of a developer who worked on RDR!
