I’m at it again. Using my imagination to dream up big fantasies. This one’s for PSN. Sony’s promised to reveal something massive come Thursday, and for their sake, I’m really hoping said thing will be a PSN revamp.

Okay. So let’s all agree on one thing: PSN definitely needs a revamp. Can I get an Amen? Nice. The thing, like I’ve said many times, looks like what my grandfather would appreciate. We’re in the 21st freaking century, Sony! Give us something with wit! a la Xbox Live. Give us cross-game chat. Take it up a notch and add cross-game video chatting. We want it all.
I’d love to see my avatar look just like me. Give me the ability customize the thing, again, a la Xbox Live, and not just the ability to add an image and freaking status update. What the heck? Wait…
…Did you hear that? That was one of Sony’s engineers peeping, listening to all our rants. They’ve been listening for multiple years. They’ve been working behind the scenes, even more so after PSN was hacked, to bring us something refreshing. They can’t say it’s not so. I once wrote a piece entitled: “You Will Be Surprised And Pleased With The New PSN“. However that new PSN has yet to be manifested. Thursday, oh Lord Thursday, I hope it does.
“As we are rebuilding the network, we are taking into consideration implementing features such as cross-game-chat and in-game video chat to name a few. I cannot confirm any new features at this time but expect a massive update when the network is restored,” a Sony representative said during the down days of PSN. It’s coming, I can feel it!
It’s big guys, and it’s coming. Can you feel it? I’m uber excited now. Let’s drink to that. Mild stuff, by the way.

id rather a release date for the vita, they really need to announce it before the oct 15 preorders for jp open.
im still tossing up if i should import one or wait which is why i need to know the launch date here by the 15th.
Something BIG turned out to be a disappointment. Some show celebrating the gamers. Thanks Sony..for getting hopes up everywhere.
