i did not say its not gory, its missing the gritty feel of the original.
as i said in gears 2 if you blew a enemy up with the shotgun you could see bits of flesh flying everywhere but in 3 you dont you just see a red mist like someone coughed up red cordial!
it just does not have the visceral feel 2 did.

What game are you playing? Gears 3 has more gore than Gears 2. I have been playing gears 2 up to the release of gears 3 and when you shoot someone in gears 3 blood flows from them. When you blow them up, blood splatters on the wall and little pieces go everywhere. The shotgun tears them up more and just leaves mangled body parts everywhere. The only difference between gears 2 and 3 as far as gore is the stupid blood on the screen crap which was just annoying. Also, the gears 3 single player is boring compared to gears 2. They do not have the huge boss fights, and OH MY GOODNESS the story is terrible and the dialogue is absolutely horrible. Uncharted does a much better job at making a well rounded story with good dialogue and characters. Even my friends who are total gears fanboys will tell you that. I absolutely love gears 3, but the sp fell short, while the mp has excelled. I see gears as more of a Michael Bay film because there is a lot of cheesy dialogue, big battles, no substance, and lots of plot wholes, which is why I like it.

I’m not going to agree with your there bro. Uncharted is the best and most exciting game I have played this gen. Excellent storytelling, great narration, acting is superb, graphics are second-to-none, pacing is stellar. The game’s super-fun! I mean you feel like you’re actually the main star of a feature film! it’s the best game I have played all this generation, so for you to conclude it’s boring and has week story etc., I would say is just ridiculous. If you don’t like the game then cool, that’s you, but in my opinion, NOTHING touches Uncharted. Nothing.

just because im disappointed in things does not mean i dont like them.
if you were told your getting a Ferrari for your bday then ended up getting a jag instead would you be disappointed, or would you dislike your present?
theres allot of things there that are not as good as they should or could be, that does not mean i dont like them.
fun wise gears is the best series we have seen this gen, simply because its FUN!
uncharted bores the $#@% out of me!
uncharted is like a michael bay film, its all flashy effects, big explosions but no substance.
theres no point to amazing graphics if the gameplays not fun.
its just far too cynical, too sterile.
id like to say its the best in the series because technically it is, but because its missing the massive bosses and scale 2 had i just cant.
its allot like resistance 3 this.
both gears 2 and R2 lacked the level design and openness they needed.
these though are the complete opposite, they have the openness but lack the scale and level design.
i just cant understand why epic skimped on the boss battles, i think they emphasised too much on the end of a trilogy trying to tie the story and the battles together instead of focussing on what their famous for which is crazy massive boss battles!
i really hope we do see gears 4, but this time sit back and put some of that scale back into it.
as i said take everything from gears 3, add in the massive scale and boss battles of 2, add in a few more crazy weapons and it would be the perfect game!

wait a minute you say your disappointed in some stuff, and you say that the story is not that good. wouldn’t that be considered thing you didn’t like. kinda hypocritical when you say there was nothing you did not like just saying. other than that the game was really good, but to say it’s the best is not really true i personally think Uncharted 2 is still way better than this game. better story, better characters, better overall level design, better animations, better & fun multiplayer i might add too etc., and the fact you even mention anything about fanboys, makes me believe your possibly a gears fanboy. just cause you say its the best it’s not, and to say its the best is very farfetched in my opinion.
