And it don’t stop. Just when you thought DICE had made it clear that PS3 and 360 aren’t receiving the short end of the stick when it comes to Battlefield 3, the developer had to clarify this yet again. The firm even had to reconfirm that the console version of the game will indeed include jets.
“They’re definitely not getting less of a game,” DICE producer Patrick Liu told Edge magazine (via CVG), when asked if fewer online players and smaller maps in Battlefield 3′s multiplayer on consoles meant that the PC version would be better.
“It has the same amount of destruction and the same amount of visual fidelity. It’a also a misconception I’ve seen on the internet that the console version won’t have jets – that’s not true.”
Liu added: “We’ve scaled the maps accordingly for console so it makes the pacing all right and the balancing is good. If you play a big Conquest map then the map is balanced accordingly.”
Battlefield 3 comes out October 25th in the U.S. and on the 28th of the same month in Europe.
