That spanking hot co-op gameplay we saw at GamesCom from Battlefield 3? Yeah, it’ll be online only, and not splitscreen. Disappointing.
DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson broke the news to Gaminglives at GamesCom.
The game will come with six cooperative maps, which will be in many ways different from those found in the shooter’s solo campaign. No drop-in co-op if you need a friend to help you either.
Troedsson also revealed that co-op missions will feature random elements, which means players may be confronted by new events and gameplay on each play through.
