New Borderlands 2 Details Emerge, Make Fans Of The Original Happy

by Ernice Gilbert on August 8th, 2011, under 2K Games, Hot, News, PC, PS3, Xbox 360

Fans of the original Borderlands will be happy to know the sequel will still feature four-player co-op, and that the game’s main protagonist Salvador, the Gunzerker, is capable of wielding any weapon in the game. More details below the break.

– Another change is inclusion of dynamic story missions, in which the story will shape to fit your success or failure.

– A new element, Eridium, will also be present. It’s not a weapon, but can be combined with guns and vehicles to improve their stats. And it’s also used as a form of currency.

– Enemies also promise to be more varied and more intelligent.

– If you got attached to a particular weapon in the first game, it’s time to say a tearful goodbye. Gearbox is scrapping all the weapons from the first game in favour of a new-look arsenal.

Borderlands 2 will be present at GamesCom 2011 in Cologne, taking place from August 17th-21st. We’ll keep you posted.

PLEASE tell me they got rid of the infinite spawning enemies!
that and the bug constantly corrupting my saves is what stopped me from playing it.
mainly the enemies though, its so freaking annoying having to constantly stop to kill enemies, then have to search for ammo because you have had to kill a gazillion enemies, then not be able to pick up any ammo because every time you open a box to collect some your stationary allowing enemies to attack you.
you have to do the objective, oh no wait you have to kill these enemies, oh no wait you have to look for ammo, oh no wait you have to go do this, oh no wait you have to do that, oh no wait you have to do that, oh no wait you have to do this, oh no wait you have to do that.
GAHHHHHHHH MAKE UP YOUR FREAKING MIND ONE FREAKING THING AT A TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
