Insomniac Games has just announced that come August 4th, the Resistance 3 beta will kick off in earnest.
Gamers who purchased SOCOM 4 in the U.S. will get first dibs on August 4th, and PS Plus members in Europe will join the test come August 10th, while PS Plus U.S. subs will be invited on the 23rd of the same month.
Seaside of Glamorgan, Wales and Trainyard in Bogota, Colombia are maps that will be featured in the beta. The game modes available will be Team Deathmatch, Chain Reaction, Deathmatch, Breach, and Capture the Flag.
In the beta, you’ll be only be able to level up to 20, so don’t expect to reach the max until the game goes on sale exclusively for PS3 come September 6th. Insomniac Games has also said the beta will continue past early access invitees, and will be open for many more players.

Personally, I think PS subscribers shouldn’t have to wait…but then on the other hand…. Some people did buy a $hit pile of a game and maybe they are getting some sympathy?
I love that comment. Haha. Maybe that’s the compensation for SOCOM 4. But I agree, why on God’s earth would PS Plus subs need to wait? Way to go, Sony.
Not going to lie. I don’t care for what I see in the MP so far. I’m going to give the Beta a go and see how it feels. More than likely, I will be buying it for the SP only.

i hope the beta will be playable in 3D and move support, i was so disappointed when i played the demo and could not play it in 3D.
