EA Plays Dirty Again, Modernwarfare3.com Leads To Battlefield 3 Website (Update)

by Ernice Gilbert on July 12th, 2011, under Activision, EA, FPS, Hot, News, PC, PS3, Xbox 360

update 1: EA didn’t buy the domain, folks, it was actually snatched by a Battlefield 3 fanboy who hates Call of Duty To Hell. He said:

“Modern Warfare is crap. On November 8, 2011, the most over-hyped first-person action series of all-time returns with the copy and paste sequel to the lackluster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Check out the E3 2011 gameplay demo featuring the Black Tuesday level for a look at the epic fail of the campaign. Pre-Order Call of Duty MW3 Today for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC to secure exclusive bonuses only available online for Modern Warfare 3 fanboys who don’t know that Battlefield 3 is the better game.”

Original Story: The last time something like this happened, EA had bought out all of the top YouTube searches concerning Modern Warfare 3, so if you searched for a video of Infinity Ward’s upcoming shooter, it would lead you to Battlefield 3′s Fault Line trailer. But EA’s gone a step further now, in fact the firm’s taken war to Activision’s home when it bought out Modernwarfare3.com, and have the URL reroute to Battlefield 3′s official site. Activision’s not going to be pleased about this.

Check out out for yourself. And as soon as you land on the page, you’re greeted by this trailer posted below. It’s war, but it’s now more than videogame wars; this is serious business. Serious money. The snafu shouldn’t last long, though, as Activision’s complain train should already be buzzing.

except it had nothing to do with them.
this is getting ridiculous, i mean come on does professionalism mean nothing?
both EA and antivision need to shut the front door till the games come out.
way to much shit talking going around.
theres marketing your game, then theres acting like complete childs.
