Medal Of Honor was reintroduced to gamers last year, and although the game didn’t live up to the hype according to some critics, it managed to sell over 4 million copies worldwide, ensuring another sequel next year. In fact, EA’s said it hopes to take on Call of Duty with a triple-edged sword: Battlefield 3, Respawn Entertainment’s unannounced sci-fi title, and of course, Medal Of Honor.
This might just be the next installment of the latter.
I noticed the info while checking out DICE’s Rendering Architect Johan Andersson Twitter page for updates on Battlefield 3. But when he responded to someone: “Looks cool, thanks for the link! forwarded it to the powers that be”, I had to investigate. Turns out it’s a company known as Think Basic, “a brand development and marketing agency that helps companies target lifestyle inspired consumers”, reads its agency page.
So Andersson’s forwarded the pitch to EA, but what exactly does their version of Medal of Honor look like? It’s all below:
“Since we all love playing games that involve blowing each other up, we thought it might be a kick to throw some art direction and design concepts to Electronic Arts and Medal of Honor. We called the campaign, “The Forefrontâ€, it reads in the “Project Overview”.
“It’s a look and game scenario that takes place 20 years into the future. We thought it would be cool to create a concept that was realistic, current, but with a touch of a post-modern twist, not all Sci-Fi and fake.
So we asked ourselves, “What would the weapons be? What would the world be like? What kind of technology would we have?†We had a blast coming up with ideas and visuals to pitch, making the whole thing a bit of a game in its own rite. ”

Although EA still must give the green light from EA in order to move forward, but after looking at Think Basic’s portfolio, it stand a good chance. Share your thoughts! Do you like what you see?
