While Battlefield 3 fans are patiently waiting to get their hands on DICE’s latest game, one of the studio’s devs is already looking towards the future while working on “personal experiments.
“I’m a dev, so not looking at only current games, but the future and personal experiments. + running 2560×1600,” Johan Andersson, Rendering Architect at DICE replied to a fan who asked a question pertaining to a new PC he’s building.
Their latest game, however, has been the talk of the gaming industry ever since it was shown earlier this year. Battlefield 3 went on to win many Best of Show awards at E3 from outlets across the industry, topping any thing we’ve seen in the visuals department thus far, albeit running on PCs most cannot afford.
Two weeks ago on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the first console footage was shown, as the game was seen running on PS3. Most were satisfied, but a worthy amount of fans weren’t pleased, as it looked considerably less “pretty” than it looks on PC. However the Battlefield 3′s still under development, and by the time it’s done, DICE promises it’ll be the best looking game on consoles.
We’ll see about that.

im sure it will be.
BFBC2 was quite a graphical intense game especially considering there not only doing visual effects, but also very physic intensive things too like there destruction engine.
would be interesting to see a battlefield game on the psvita, that would be so cool!
Now that would be sweet.
