With recent news that Guerrilla Games is actually hard at work on a new IP, more evidence has surfaced suggesting we won’t see another Killzone game until the release of PlayStation 4.
Sales for Killzone 3 now stand at 1,631,432 worldwide. Many had thought the shooter would perform better given the former’s performance and the hype surrounding it as a topnotch first-party exclusives. So although the numbers are not bad, they’re somewhat disappointing.
Now it seems Guerrilla Games are giving the franchise a break to focus on something new, saying in a job posting on their official site that they’re on an “epic quest for a Concept Artist with an architectural or industrial design background. Like a modern-day Daedalus, you will design complex environments to contain the monsters and ensnare the heroes of our flagship titles.”
So it’s obvious that the company’s giving Killzone a rest at the moment. So, when will we see Killzone 4? Guerrilla Games will not abandon such a power franchise, so expect the next Killzone game on PS4. In fact, Killzone 4 could be a prequel, taking us back to how Helghast turned into what it is now, and more background on the ISA.
Killzone 3 fans should not worry, however, as the developer’s also looking for a Senior Java Developer, who’ll be responsible for “designing and developing the server backend for Killzone 3 and future products”, so the title should be well supported throughout its lifetime.

by the time they get there new IP out the door it will be too late to start on another game for the ps3, so yea id be surprised if we do see another KZ game from them this gen.
interesting to see what there new IP will be, i just hope 1 its not a shooter, and 2 its something different to what were use to, and 3 has a dam side more color then KZ3!
sick of playing such depressing games, everythings so drab and dreary!
why cant more games be more like halo 3 and bulletstorm?
wide variety of colors, and there nice and bright!
Bulletstorm failed hard btw. Poor People Can Fly.
it was a fantastic game, it was a new IP so lackluster sales was expected.
there not exactly the best known developers either.
hopefully we see a sequel and its much better marketed.
was so different not only in humor, but gameplay style everything being death traps was so much fun!
kill with skill…… classic!
nice to play a game that has a larger color patte then brown and grey too!
Well Epic were behind it…
