Guerrilla Games Giving Killzone a Rest For New IP, On “Epic Quest” For Concept Artist

by Ernice Gilbert on June 22nd, 2011, under Development, Hot, News

Guerrilla Games are a talented bunch, play any of their games and you’ll know that. The developer’s not only a one franchise house; and they’re about to prove it with an all new IP.

It’s apparent that the GG’s hard at work on a new IP, as confirmed on its official website, they’re looking for many talented people to help bring that vision to pass.

The studio’s on an “epic quest for a Concept Artist with an architectural or industrial design background. Like a modern-day Daedalus, you will design complex environments to contain the monsters and ensnare the heroes of our flagship titles.”

The developer’s also looking for “a Senior TD or Senior Technical Artist with a broad understanding of games and graphics technology, who will co-manage, advise on and participate in the technical art process.”

But that’s not all: Guerrilla Games are also searching hard for “a colorful character to work on our character animation pipeline. As a Senior Character TD or Senior Technical Character Artist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining animation rigs and diagrams, supporting animators, and working with game coders on in-game character animation solutions. You will also be responsible for supporting and developing our Python/MEL based character animation pipeline.”

We’re not too sure what the new game will be, but we’re certain it’ll be “epic”.

Guerrilla Games latest, Killzone 3, was released back in March, and is now closing in on 2 million copies sold worldwide. So it’s on to new things, then.

come on, we have enough shooters, give us something different!!!!!!!
or maybe a totally new different genre like what heavy rain and LA Noire gave us.
    please, just no more shooters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    probably.
by the time this is out it will be at least another 2 years, it would be a bit late to do a new game.
hopefully its a launch title, and is a prequel to KZ2.
explains what happened after they got kicked off vetka, why they chose helghan, why the ISA decided to invade helgahn.
