It does not look at as good as the PC version we’ve been seeing, guys.

  2. Sole Survivor June 17, 2011 at 3:04 am -

Nope, this is a step down. People will be disappointed.

  3. newyearnewrule June 17, 2011 at 3:08 am -

It looks good, but not Battlefield 3 PC good!

I can settle for slightly worse graphics as long as the gameplay is as good.

  5. Ernice Gilbert June 17, 2011 at 6:45 am -

Agreed. Some are disappointed….I’m not…But like I said – they shouldn’t expect that it’d look just like PC>…

They annoying thing is Sony going about the life of the Playstation and how it has a few years left and won’t get out dated. This is proof that it already has.

  7. Ernice Gilbert June 17, 2011 at 7:59 am -

Haha. That’s a good point. One that not many will agree with – but it’s very true. But then again, who can keep up with PC? They get upgraded EVERY MONTH….. It’s rough to keep up.

  8. Joseph Garrett June 17, 2011 at 8:24 am -

Obviously there will always be PC’s more powerful than consoles. But the great appeal of consoles if that they are usually much more powerful than the average persons PC. And this going way back to the first Nintendos.

But the problem is now that consoles are falling so far behind that most PC gamers will have PC’s more powerful. It means we need the next generation of consoles. But what did we get instead? The Wii U. Brilliant lol.

  9. Ernice Gilbert June 17, 2011 at 8:33 am -

Yeah Wii U. Lol. Hopefully Carmack’s prediction that the eighth generation of consoles will be 10x more powerful than current gen comes to pass.

  10. Joseph Garrett June 17, 2011 at 8:39 am -

10x better. Yeah that would do. :)

Would the game be in 1080 for the PS3 or a downscale ?

  12. Ernice Gilbert June 17, 2011 at 8:47 am -

    DICE confirmed 1080p

First…PS3 is not out dated. The games look great on PS3. And I do not think we need the next generation of consoles just yet. Sony has confidence in the PS3′s abilities and is in no rush to release a new console just yet. And I agree with them. Like past consoles they will take their time to develop a great machine. If games like Battlefield 3 and many other multiplatform title were developed for just PS3 and PC and not the 360 you would see much better games. Microsof is in greater need of a new console than Sony is.

I will not call any names but I do know a few guys in the industry and there are some devs in a particular studio that wish some of their games were PS3 exclusives. The XBox 360 as way more limited than the PS3. Main reason???…3 letters…DVD

  15. CaribbeanCLANK June 17, 2011 at 12:15 pm -

….as for the PS3 footage of Battlefield 3. I think it looks great. No matter how powerful PC’s get, console gaming will always be better. I just do not have a wallet that can keep up this today’s PCs.

You have contacts, then? Nice…..Send in scoops!

  17. Ernice Gilbert June 17, 2011 at 12:21 pm -

As for PS3/s360, obviously PS3 is more up-to-date and more powerful – it released a full year later and Sony takes pride in making very powerful consoles….As for PC, like I said, folks just can’t keep up. Too expensive. And I’d rather console gaming any day than hitting mouses and keyboards etc…

  18. CaribbeanCLANK June 17, 2011 at 12:24 pm -

LOL…as long as it is ok with my friend I will send u a scoop or two when I get them. LOL!!!

~Next Gen Mind Tease~ The PS4 or whatever Sony decides to call it just might be the first Playstation console to use the same disc format as it’s predecessor. A little birdie told me that.

  20. Ernice Gilbert June 17, 2011 at 12:36 pm -

That would be super! Email’s through here. Or PSN of course :D

  21. Ernice Gilbert June 17, 2011 at 12:37 pm -

You’re teasing me man! So it might user Blu-Ray? Just an upgraded version?

  22. nick June 18, 2011 at 4:51 am -

panasonic developed a bluray disk that can hold 250GBs per layer and even better has a MUCH faster read and write times then current disks.
thats why allot of ps3 games have such massive HDD installs, to stream directly off the disk is far too slow!
theres a new red photon laser that can store allot more data cant remember how much i think it was in the 500GB+ region, but i doubt will be seeing that before another 10 years because its ridiculously expensive!
as for BF3 im quite impressed with it!
ok its not as good as the PC version, but seriously of course its not!
complaining about that is like complaining that your friends Ferrari is faster then your 20 year old herbie!

  23. Ernice Gilbert June 18, 2011 at 5:40 am -

“Complaining about that is like complaining that your friends Ferrari is faster then your 20 year old herbie!” Agreed. And yeah, the new Blu-Ray format definitely adds like to PS3…

just finished infamous 2 on hero setting.
boy, what a disappointment that was!
leave it at that for a while give people a chance to finish it, and for me to finish the evil ending and see if thats any better.
enjoyed infamous 1 WAY more though!
    :(
