Insomniac Games and the US PS Blog has released the first of many Resistance 3 diaries that will lead up to the game’s launch in September, and the first talks about the game’s color and mood. Dubbed “A New Cold War”, it shows the bleak atmosphere of the game.

According to the game’s creative director Marcus Smith, earth has already been overtaken by the Chimera and they wanted to show it clearly in the game. Much more info in the vid.

nice to see some color injected into the game for a change!
thats one thing i hope epic have done with gears 3, the whole series has always looked so dark, brown grey and dusty!
one thing i hate about games this gen, wheres the color!?
ps2 games use to have heaps of bright vibrant colors, but ps3 games only use darker colors or darker shades.
like for example compare the color of the forest in uncharted drakes fortune to the forest in uncharted 2 among thieves.
the firsts forest is a bright lush green, where the 2nd game is a really dark green almost like it has some navy blue or black in it!
why does everything have to be so dark and gloomy?
why cant more games be like bulletstorm and halo?
bright luscious greens, not dark gloomy colors!
I think many a gamer will be surprised with the final product. I think it’ll be great.

dunno what the hells happening with battle for LA everywhere i look no one even knows about it, let alone having a release date for it!
really wanted to rent it so i could give the demo a try.
oh well the beta starts in july so i guess that may have to do.
