Video Thirst: Dust 514 Announced As PS3 Exclusive At E3, How Could We Forget?

In the heat of all the big E3 announcements, we forgot to report on a game that was announced at Sony’s press conference coming exclusively to PS3: Dust 514. Get trailers and more details below the break.

EVE Online developer CCP has announced that its upcoming persistent shooter entitled Dust 514 will hit the aforementioned console, and will share the same world as CCP’s massive hit MMO EVE Online.

First announced back in 2009, the PS3 version of Dust 514 will feature Move support and a dedicated Home space, along with unnamed support for Sony’s upcoming PS Vita to be released later this year in Japan and early 2012 in the west.

Dust 514 will have a closed beta later this year and a “full release” in 2012.

    meh.
    im all shootered out!
    shooter this, shooter that….. come on a little variety please!
    wish we could go back to the good old ps1 and ps2 days where we had a pretty good balance of all genres.
    now its 98% shooters, 1% action games and the rest maybe one every 2 years!

    theres nothing else to buy so of course they are!
    plenty of non shooters sell really well, its just that developers have it in there mind that games without MP wont sell well, and its hard to do MP in a non shooter.
    easier to follow the sheep off the cliff, then to stand out and do something different!
    everyone has to be part of this me too crap!
