Weekend Quencher 06/10/11 – E3 Aftermath, Edition

E3 2011′s come and gone, bringing to end with it a very busy week here on Gamesthirst. I think I’ve said enough for the past few days, and now it’s your turn. Give us your highlights. Share your thoughts. How was E3 to you?

My cousin will be coming over tomorrow to give me a haircut, and after that I’ll be out for the day handling some business. It’s a rest weekend for me though, as my fingers have worked so much they could kill someone. Literally.

E32011 was amazing, and although it wasn’t the greatest, there was a lot of content on hand. The industry’s becoming bigger with each passing year, and I’m proud to be a part of it. I’m also proud of our coverage of this year’s event, and next year God’s willing should be even better.

Tell us your biggest moments of the press conferences, and have a mighty great weekend!

hey, no killing i dont think id be able to bail you out.
    ;)
i was really disappointed with this years E3!
last years was disappointing, but this years was even worse!
at least last year had a few surprises like valve coming to ps3, or PSN+ but this year did not have much.
    :(
out of all the pressers ubisofts impressed me the most, and out of all the games shown far cry 3 impressed me the most.
looks so original, creative and epic that game!
tonight im going to see xmen first class, really looking forward to seeing it looks really good!
tomorrow i gotta buckle down and get some work done, good its a public holiday on monday so i should hopefully get a decent amount of work done.
    hopefully!

Ah good to hear. The holiday – and you’d have to find cash to bail me out! :)

Anyway, I agree with you there – this year wasn’t the best in class and Ubisoft’s presser did rock, I must admit. Far Cry 3 was amazing!

But among the big three – who do you think took it?

if ninty properly unveiled there new console, instead of half unveling it, and actually showed heaps of live demos of upcoming games for it i would of said them.
but they dident, they showed only half of it, and showed off videos of other systems.
just seems very sloppy and unorganized, especially since they confirmed they would be unveiling it ages ago!
because of that id have to choose sony, they did what ninty failed to.

Yeah, even Iwata admitted they could have done better by unveiling the console! Still looking forward to it.

e3 was fun but as usual i expected more. there’s TGS for that though. my favorite announcement was PSVITA for $249. I’m all over that and the launch games lineup is superb. Sony really stepped up there.
    .
    Im excited for UC3, BF3 & R3 the most.

Fathers Day is actually next week. There’s a lot of cool stuff on there, Sole. I chose Dead Nation and Super Stardust HD. I already have wipeout and LBP I and played through infamous last year.

Good to hear you’re just having a cool weekend, ExclusivesMostly. Maybe we could get in on some Killzone 3 action? Let me know….

We should play some KZ3 MP together for sure. Not tonight though. Miami Heat needs to win tonight so I’ll be showing them my support remotely via my TV screen : )
