The stunning footage you saw of Darksiders, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and the rest, that you thought was running on Nintendo’s Wii U system, was actually taken from PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. That’s because, according to NoA boss Reggie Fils-Aime, the console’s still a year away from launch.
“There has been some fantastic content that has not come to our platform,” he said.
“Third party publishers have told us that the reason they couldn’t bring it to our platform was based on the horsepower of the machine. That excuse is gone. So now all of the best content can come to the machine.”
