Co-op Campaign Back In A “Big Way” For Modern Warfare 3

As more Modern Warfare 3 details trickle out of Infinity Ward’s London affair, we’re starting to realize why Activision boasted that the game will represent a revolution in the FPS genre. It’s taken the media by storm today, and now we can confirm that single-player split-screen co-op will return in Modern Warfare 3.

Said Sledgehammer’s VP & general manager Glen Schofield:

“The single player campaign is just one aspect of the much, much larger game of Modern Warfare 3.

Aside from the campaign we have Spec Ops, two-player co-op which we’re going to bring back to Modern Warfare 3 in a very big way, and of course multiplayer, which is just amazing in itself.”

Here’s NowGamer on the game:

The Destruction Is Bigger And Better Than Ever

“After fighting across the stock exchange rafters, you emerge on the roof of the building, next to the radar-jamming tower. Placing a thermal charge on the structure and running to a safe distance, Frost detonates the bomb.

The tower then crumples, twists and falls convincingly, bathed in flames. While the destruction isn’t interactive in the same way as Battlefield Bad Company 2’s, it is still cinematic and impressive.”

It’s out November 8th for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

    nice!
i hope its for the campaign this time, and not those crappy time trials MW2 had!
also was announced today MW3s destructiable environments are fully scripted!
    WTF!?
the competition moved away from that freaking 4 years ago!
IW, again proving there still stuck in the past!
thus again proving this is not MW3, more like MW 1.6!
    why am i not surprised?

It was a scripted demo….give it some time…why isn’t folks complaining about DICE not showing any console gameplay and yet people salivate over the game?

what do you mean who cares? Most people OWN consoles, darn it! That’s what I want to see, not some epic visuals of a game running on a PC as big as the Titanic.

    all in time.
there showing off PC footage because they dont want to turn into crytek.
crytek promised crysis 2 would take full advantage of PCs, people believed them and look what happened!
so DICE are trying to put there fans at rest.
they are a PC developer after all!
you dont turn your back on your heritage!
