Alan Wake was received well by critics and gamers alike, and although it didn’t sell GTA-like numbers, it’s built a massive following who are now itching for a sequel. Remedy Entertainment said we’ll see another Alan Wake game, but it won’t be a sequel, so could it be an Xbox Live Arcade title? According to an “extremely trusted” source close to XBLAFans, Remedy’s hard at work on Alan Wake: Night Springs, a game developed specifically for Xbox Live.
Apparently the source has seen screens of the game, and all information that was handed out. Night Springs is the name of the paranormal show which plays on TV sets in Alan Wake.
Eurogamer contacted Remedy Entertainment for answers, and the developer said:
“Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming! But to be absolutely certain to avoid confusion, this next Wake instalment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC,” head of franchise development Oskari Hakkinen.

smart move.
they dont want to do a sequel yet, too costly and uncertain if they will get there cash back.
hopefully its a prequel, showing the origins of the darkness, the lady of light, and the town.
thats one thing i hated about AW, it feels like your entering a story, a town in the middle of the series.
exactly like uncharted, u can feel the history of the town, characters, but never get introduced to it.
Yeah…Word around is Uncharted NGP will be between Drake’s Fortune and Among Thieves. Should be interesting.
before.
its before the first but they dont want to call it a prequel because it does not lead up to the events of drakes fortune.
Oh okay. Sounding good.
