Spike TV’s The Only Network Broadcasting Microsoft’s Presser

Microsoft and Spike TV’s signed an exclusive deal that will see the TV network become the sole provider broadcasting the firm’s E3 press conference next month, but don’t be confused, because sites like Gamespot, IGN and G4 will also be streaming the event online.

It’s an 90 minute event dubbed “Xbox 360: The Future Revealed”, and it’ll be simulcasted on GameTrailers.com, Facebook, Xbox.com/E3, MTV.com, mobile platforms and on demand on Xbox Live. The event will also be aired live in Time Square, New York.

Said president of interactive entertainment at Microsoft, Don Mattrick:

“We are excited to be back again this year working with Spike TV and MTV Networks to broadcast our E3 Media Briefing to millions of consumers around the world.

We encourage everyone to tune-in Monday as we world premiere our exclusive line-up of leading blockbuster games, showcase the next wave of innovation for Kinect and demonstrate new ways to experience the entertainment you love.”

Microsoft’s presser’s supposed to be Kinect-heavy, as the firm’s set to reveal 10 non-sequel titles for the peripheral, with many of them being geared towards the hardcore market. There’s also talk of a Xbox 720 unveiling, but that might not be true.

The press conference happens at the Galen Center on the campus of the University of Southern California from 9am west coast time on Monday, June 6th.
