Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection Coming This Summer

by Ernice Gilbert on May 12th, 2011, under Hot, News, PC, PSN, Xbox Live

I think the arcade days of Mortal Kombat were the best, and come this summer, we’ll be getting a full “kollection” on PSN, Xbox Live and PC, Warner Bros. has announced.

The collection will include the arcade trilogy Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and will come ready on the above platforms.

Said MK boss Ed Boon in the press release:

“We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play. With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D game play, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.”

There’s no half-stepping, either, as the collection was developed by Other Ocean in collaboration with NetherRealm studios, and will come ready with online play, leaderboards, Achievements and Trophies.

Buy the collection this summer for $9.99/800 MS Points.

Not to be left out, GameStop will be carrying a limited amount of new Mortal Kombat Klassic Fight Sticks manufactured by Performance Designed Products. These will come bundled with a code to download Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection for either PS3 or Xbox 360, are available now for pre-order, and will be released on August 31st, costing you $129.99.

Thanks, VG247.
