Video Thirst: Soulcalibur V Announced For PS3 And 360, Will Release In 2012 – Release Trailer Inside

Namco Bandai’s unveiled the latest game in its flagship 3D fighting series, Soulcalibur V, a title that will see a release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.

At the Japanese publisher’s LevelUp event, Producer Hisaharu Tago told the audience Soulcalibur V is a “true sequel”, and that it takes place 17yrs after IV.

The main protagonist is described as a “young man” named Patroklos, the child of Sophitia and Rothion.

According to Tago, various elements of the game’s battle system has been improved, and new features have been added to make this title more exciting.

More details was promised for E3 2011, so keep your eyes open. The last major Soulcalibur title, Soulcalibur IV, was released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2008.

    meh.
    absolutely hated SC4, so i cant get excited for this.
    theres only 2 proper fighting games, tekken and MK.
    MvC series is ok, but i hate the craziness of the screen the whole time.
    makes the game look like a 20 year old Bman flick!
