Sony’s issued a rather disappointing update on the US PS Blog, telling an already patient userbase to wait even longer, adding they can’t give us an exact date as to when the service will return. The full statement’s below the break.
“I know you all want to know exactly when the services will be restored,” said Nick Caplin – Head of Communications, SCEE. “At this time, I can’t give you an exact date, as it will likely be at least a few more days. We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this process.”
This has arrived to a boiling point for many gamers I’m sure, as we’ve been waiting upwards three weeks on PSN’s return. We’ll keep you posted.
i am getting a little frustrated with the fact that they keep changing things. I hate when people give a timeline of a week and then keep changing. It they just said give us some time and not give any kind of tentative date, I actually would not be as frustrated. I just want to play Uncharted 2 so badly.

“at least a few more days” that is the vaguest description we’ve had since this whole fiasco came to light!! I am really now strating to lose confidence and patience. I think we’ll be lucky to get it restored by end of May at this rate. I appreciate that they are totally rebuilding their systems and checking security, but how hard can it be just to restore the online gaming section, which ultimately has little or no need for security??
looks like we wont be getting it back this week, after being promised it would be back last week!
sigh, and i just got a email from gearbox saying make sure you update which platform for the DNF demo by may 15.
looks like the DNF demo will be with us next week!
