Enslaved Sells 730,000

by Ernice Gilbert on May 10th, 2011, under Namco Bandai, News

Namco’s confirmed that Enslaved: Odyssey To The West has sold 730,000 units as part of the company’s full year results.

It’s a better number than the 460,000 sold back in February, but still a rather disastrous figure when considering the hopes Namco and Ninja Theory had for the game. The reviews were good, too.

There’s been talk of a sequel also, as Namco acknowledged that the bad release window given to the game caused the lackluster sales, adding if it’d released another time, things would have been much different.

Tekken 6, despite being released in 2009, sold 1.15 million units in the financial year, as operating income for 2011 leaped to 767 percent at ¥16.3 billion. Sales were up four percent at ¥394 billion.

    shame!
such a injustice seeing crap games like COD selling 10s of millions and fantastic games like this not even selling 1M!
