Report – Codename Call Of Duty: Project Colossus To Launch On November 8th

The next COD title, believed to be Modern Warfare 3, is codenamed Call of Duty: Project Colossus, and according to a report from Eurogamer, will see a launch on November 8th, 2011.

If the game does release on November 8th, it’ll be in line with other COD games: Call of Duty: Black Ops was released on Tuesday, 9th November 2010, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released on Tuesday, 10th November 2009. World at War (14th November 2008) and Modern Warfare (9th November 2007) were both released on a Friday.

This as Activision/Bilzzard gets ready to release its financial results for Q1, which includes January, February and March of this year.

We’re still awaiting an official Call of Duty announcement, and although rumors have been running wild, we still haven’t received any concrete details as to what the new shooter will be about, or where it’s taking place. We know it’s a shooter….

According to EA, it’s a battle between COD and Battlefield 3 come November, as the firm takes the DICE-developed FPS head-to-head with the biggest, most successful game in the world.

Thanks, Eurogamer.
