Homefront Ships 2.6 Million, MP Demo Confirmed

by Ernice Gilbert on May 4th, 2011, under Hot, News, PC, PS3, THQ, Xbox 360

THQ’s shipped an incredible amount of Homefront units, exacting to 2.6 million. The game’s profitable, says the publisher, and it expects to sell 3 million in lifetime sales.

Elsewhere, we’re getting confirmation of a multiplayer demo for the game and lots of DLC.

“THQ posted strong fourth quarter results primarily driven by the success of Homefront,” said THQ President and CEO Brian Farrell. “We have already shipped 2.6 million units, a solid start for this new franchise, which kicks off the strongest pipeline of AAA core games in our history.”

All this from the company’s fourth quarter fiscal results, which is where Farrell also made known the MP demo and DLC plans. The mulitplayer demo would, according to him, help “stimulate” new players as well as those who’d purchased the game.

Just like COD, Homefront DLC will arrive first on Xbox 360.

anyone interested in this would of already played it by now.
i hope they give us a prequel to this, and actually give us a story this time!
they need to explain why korea is taking over, and what the hell happened to all the soldiers!
the game has no emotion too, your walking the streets seeing parents being executed in front of their kids and you could not care less!
theres no emotions what so ever in that game!
the devs try so hard to make you hate the koreans, but totally fail completley!
because you really have no reason to, i mean yea there taking over the country but theres no story to the game it makes it really hard to care!
