Take On The Chimera In Resitance 3 With Move And 3D

by Ernice Gilbert on March 30th, 2011, under Hot, News, PS3

The two features dominating PS3 exclusive games had yet to be confirmed for the console’s latest exclusive shooter, but that’s of the past as Sony’s confirmed both features will come ready with Resistance 3.

Insomniac Games’ senior community manager James Stevenson said “we are finally able reveal, due to overwhelming community demand, that Resistance 3 will support Stereoscopic 3DTV.”

“Furthermore, those of you who are enjoying the precision of the PlayStation Move motion controller with your copies of Killzone 3 and the SOCOM 4 Beta will be delighted to know that Resistance 3 will also support PlayStation Move and the sharp shooter,” he continued.

Adding: “After Killzone 3 launched, we heard a massive amount of positive feedback, and were inundated with requests to support both PlayStation Move and sharp shooter. So we’re glad to be able to finally confirm the news!”

I hated the move on killzone 3. Although i don’t really know what they could do differently.

I don’t like Move or Kinect for that matter…. I’m not into motion controls…

Same here. although i did think that the move had some potential. I hope that something is released soon so that i didn’t waste my money.

I mainly got it for heavy rain. But I ended up preferring it on controller.

    Was just easier lol.

    no thanks!
    3D is just a gimmick!
you dont get the experience you expect, IE the pop out, and it really hurts the visuals!
wish TV manufactures would stop making TVs that every time you turn the 3D mode on the engine automatically dims the screen and you cant change it back!
watching a game 2D it like watching the sun, nice bright, vibrant, and good colors.
3D though its like watching the sun through those filters they use to watch eclipses, brightness and vibrance is gone!
colors are distorted, depending on which manufacture sonys give everything a greenish tint.
in other words 3D gives you a little extra depth, but at the cost of pretty visuals, and the cost of a stable frame rate.

move on the other hand works really well, i just dont like it because it makes everything feel like a kids game!
using it for KZ3 just made me feel like i was playing a silly arcade shooter!

Some people love it, some people don’t. It’s nice to have the option though.

Option is good like ExclusivesMostly said…I say bring it on, although I might never get into this motion craze.

i wish developers would start adding real pop out into there games!
for some reason every developer that has spoken about it hates it!
i mean, thats what 3D is all about!
if you have no pop out then whats the point?
3D without pop out, is like having a Ferrari but never taking it on the track!
    pointless!

Best 3D game i have played is metal gear ac!d 2. Game was all 2D but the on screen cards all popped out in front of your. Worked really well. And you could even go back and watch some cutscences from other metal gear games in 3D.

Of course you could never use it in public because you would look like a tit.
