Next God Of War Title To Include Multiplayer

It’s almost extinct, the single player only game. You have the Final Fantasy titles, Dragon Age from Bioware and amongst others, God of War from Santa Monica. But looking at the positions the latter company’s currently hiring for, there’s a clear indication that the next God of War installment will feature a multiplayer component.

The Santa Monica studio’s looking for “a senior online programmer to “join the God of War team!” Applicants must have experience “designing and implementing systems and tools to support networking needs (such as in-game communication, client-server, matchmaking, [and] leaderboards).” (Emphasis added.)

At the end of God of War III, room was left hinting at yet another sequel, so this is definitely not far fetched. And with the franchise being one of the best selling on PS3, I’m sure Santa Monica and Sony will continue bringing Kratos adventures to the masses.

So, what do you guys think? Yes! I say.

apparently this is NOT for GOW4, its actually for heavenly sword 2!
oh, now this would be so freaking sweet!
sony have given SM the license to heavenly sword and there doing a sequel!
funny, i was screaming for SM to do a sequel ever since NT said there not doing a sequel, and now its apparently happening!
ohhh, please make it so!

cant remember was reading it last night.
i remember reading through a PSM3 article last year that said SM might get the license to heavenly sword, so hope it turns out!
heavenly sword was such a massive title, so imagine what SM could do with it!
still got the biggest last battle ever seen in a game!
will be hard to top that, i mean you cant see any ground all you can see is troops as far as the eye can see!
if they do a sequel, i hope we get to keep the sword and actually use it this time!
was so cool at the end swinging it around, and everyone around you goes flying!
