Online Quencher – SCEA Will Transfer Online Services To New Dept. – SNEA

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has made known that come April 1st, it will transfer its online services operations, including PSN users’ PS wallets and the funds therein, to Sony Network Entertainment America (SNEA).

Mail is being sent out to users today, and according to it, you’ll be required to sign a new Terms of Service and User Agreement with SNEA the first time you sign in.

According to the mail, “If you do not wish to enter into a contract with SNEA, you may decline the terms of service and we will close your account(s) and return your funds.” Find what you’ll be signing into here.

Sony said PSN “will continue to provide you with the highest standard of interactive entertainment,” and all former access will remain intact.

It’s a plan they’ve been working out for a while, since Qriocity was announced last year. This is the first step which will see the giant expand its book, game, music and video offerings through both PSN and Qriocity, as mentioned by Kaz at CES.

Kaz said: “In addition to launching a line of Sony tablets, we’ll be building upon the video, music, game and book offerings on our Qriocity and our PlayStation Network services to deliver a compelling, unique experience for Sony across a wide range of consumer electronic devices.”

    still waiting!
im getting tossed around like a tennis ball!
sony says only my bank can do it, and my bank says the merchant has to do it.
whats pissing me off is my bank wants them to send a letter in so they know i own the account, but sony refuses there policy is they dont contact third parties.
im about to give up, i dont have the energy, patience, and time to ring both of them 10 times a day to hound them to get this sorted!

thats what im trying to do!
every time i ring my bank and ask them to reverse the refund they tell me they need a letter from the merchant so they know im the owner of the account.
every time i ring sony they say no they have to do it on there end we dont contact 3rd parties.
feel like going down there and bashing my laptop over there head!

    pay who?
no one wants to deal with it!
my bank wont reverse the funds till sony send them a letter saying im the account holder.
and sony wont do anything, they keep saying its my bank which has to reverse the funds its got nothing to do with them.
