We’re Doing “More Than Just Killzone” Says Guerrilla Games

Killzone 3 is the PS3′s best looking game to date. Uncharted 3 might top it but for now, nothing looks better. After Killzone 2, Guerrilla Games went straight to work on the third installment with 40 percent of PS3′s power untouched. It’s no doubt they’ve pushed the console to the brink, but things could get even better if the developer decided to create a new engine.

Will it? “No,” said Killzone 3 Technical director Michiel van der Leeuw, that could wait for next generation. And after all, they can do something “fresh”, because there’s more to come, in terms of new IPs from the pro developer.

“I don’t think we’ll be creating a brand new engine for this generation. We’re pretty close to what you can achieve in this particular direction, although there’s always room for improvement,” he told Digital Foundry in a very informative article dubbed “The Making of Killzone 3“.

“That doesn’t say we can’t do anything really fresh. We’re going to be doing more than just Killzone in future and new ideas lead to new techniques and fresh experiences.”

What new would you like to see GG bring to the table? Action Adventure, or may a Stealth Action game? How about an RPG – or even some kind of horror title?

Let your thoughts be known!

a open world gang styled game like GTA would be cool.
or a game based on the roman empire, kinda like what project kingdoms looked like thats looking really good.

Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll be of good quality. GG are always trying to push boundaries. That said, I have a feeling that they’ll make a 3rd person shooter.
