PS3 Hacker’s House Raided By Police In Germany

While in the U.S. Sony’s forced to play softball with PS3 cracker Geohot, in Germany it’s all hardball.

Earlier in the week, German hacker “graf_chokolo” felt the brunt of Sony’s wrath, as he received a visit from the police, accompanied by a representative of Sony, who had arrived to seize his computers and PS3 consoles for use as evidence in an upcoming court case.

This can’t be good news for the hacker, as Sony’s prepped with an ocean of money to continue its case incessantly. He, on the other hand, we’ll have to dig up cash where ever his been sowing it, plus face jail time and a barrage of other expenses.

Here’s what he said per PSX-Scene:

“Guys, SONY was today at my home with police and got all my stuff and accounts. So be careful from now on.”

“Guys, i donâ€™t joke, itâ€™s serious. And to prove it, i kept my word and uploaded all my HV reversing stuff. Upload it everywhere so SONY couldnâ€™t remove it easily. Grab it guys, it contains lots of knowledge about HV and HV procs.”

“IDA database is the documentation, it contains all my knowledge, Linux booting is also there. It contains all the code i used to patch HV 3.41 and boot Linux. So, PS3 devs, grab it and continue my work. It contains just everything i know about HV, storage devices and so on.”

Serious stuff.

lol. Sony is not playing no games. For everyone who thinks these guys have done nothing wrong, he had to have done something wrong or the police would not have been involved.

not exactly, graf said if sony keep pushing the envelope he would release the keys for PSN games.
