Video Thirst: Rest In Peace, Bizarre Creations

by Ernice Gilbert on February 18th, 2011, under Activision/Bilzzard, Bizarre, Hot, News

After 20yrs in the business, Bizarre Creations has shut its doors, leaving yet another empty slot in many a gamer’s heart. Activision closed the studio today, after acquiring about three years ago. And today, many a developer will have to find new jobs.

Nothing much to say here, except that we hope all of the now disbanded employees find new homes.

There’s a farewell vid past the break.

Say your goodbyes:

Farewell Bizarre…it’s been an absolute pleasure! from Eamon Urtone on Vimeo.

The developer’s last games were Blur and James Bond 007: Blood Stone. It was a UK company. 1994-2011.

Man they were a pretty talented studio, and Activision just killed them with IP’s that really had no chance, such as James Bond. The Bond games have lost their mass appeal, and Blur was okay, but it just did not appeal to people. It would have been better if they did another PGR game. I wish them the best of luck with everything and loved a lot of the games they did.

shame, BLUR was a really fun game!
blood stone was not a bad game either, not great but definitely the best in the series since the ps1 days!
