XCOM Undergoing Massive Changes

by Ernice Gilbert on February 16th, 2011, under 2K Games, Hot, News, Take-Two

XCOM was announced last year for PC and Xbox 360 as a survival-type shooter, but according to Superannuation, the game’s seen massive changes since it was announced. This rumor has legs, since 2K Australia studio director, Martin Slater, apparently resigned last month, giving little to no reasons why.

2K Australia’s the developer behind the reboot, by the way.

It was through a tweet the news became public:

“FWIW, there’s a rumor that XCOM’s undergone some big changes since it was announced,” reads the message.

Here’s the game’s debut trailer released last year:

It should release next year, with Take-Two doing the publishing.

I actually remember playing the original XCOM and I am scared that they are going to change it too much and the game will suck. I hope not, because I really want to like this game.
