New Killzone 3 Dev Diary Talks Guns, Melee And Brutality

It’s coming in three weeks. Killzone 3 is. There’s no other shooter as highly anticipated in the month of February. Bulletstorm comes out the same day but if I were EA, I’d push back the release date – there’s no way PS3 owners are going to leave back Killzone 3 for any other game in February.

Below the break, Guerrilla Games developers talk about the title’s weapons and melee system.

Video Thirst: Kill With Style

If you’re going to kill a Helghast, then you might as well do it in style and as brutally as you possibly can. Killzone 3′s actually the perfect game for that kind of thing, as you’ll see in the video below.

a nice addition to the game, i just hope they have worked on the level design.
i hope its not as linear and corridor shooter as 2.
why is it that all games that should be open are closed like KZ2, but than games that should be closed like DS2 are open?
thats one thing i hate about DS2, its suppose to be a horror game, how am i suppose to be scared if i can just run away?
thats what made the original game so atmospheric, it made you feel claustrophobic.
kinda hard to feel that way when your in a warehouse!

you mean KZ3?
dunno, were getting it on the 24th same day as bulletstorm.
not sure which one i should start first, leaning towards bulletstorm.

just finished the BS demo.
was ok, was hoping we would have access to more kill streaks, but it is certainly looking really cool!
sony just announced there doing a KZ3 competition here!
dunno why, but they only do this for KZ.
they never did anything like this, than 6 weeks before KZ2 came out they brought the 2 head developers over here and had a SP and MP contest.
sadly i did not get to go.
but this one, im definitely going to try and get in!
does not say if any of the devs are going to be there, doubt it but that would be so cool!
