Nintendo Will Ship 4 Million 3DS Units By March

Analysts across the board are hailing Nintendo’s upcoming revolutionary handheld gaming device as the industry’s ace for 2011, and riding the moment, Nintendo’s planning to ship 4 million units by March.

That’s no shabby number.

Over the weekend at the annual Nintendo World event in Tokyo Japan, the company divulged the system’s launch lineup, it includes:

Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D (Â¥5,040)
Nintendogs+Cats (Â¥4,800)
Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle (Â¥5,980)
Puzzle Bobble 3D (Â¥4,980)
Ridge Racer 3D (Â¥6,090)
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (Â¥4,800)
Samurai Warriors: Chronicle (Â¥6,090)
Winning Eleven Soccer 3D (Â¥5,800)

As for the battery life you’ll have to play those games, it’ll last anywhere from 3-5hrs.

It’s always great to see new hardware bring the market to life, and so I’m anticipating the handheld’s release. I’m sure It’ll be successful.

    price?
    i seriously doubt there going to be selling 4M units with that piss poor lineup!
    professor layton and ridge racer 3D are the only 2 games i would think about getting if i had the system, let alone buying it for them.
    when are publishers going to learn they need to release lots of great games for launch titles?

    Poor lineup indeed and no price. But you know it’ll still sell like there was a gaming famine going on. It says Nintendo, and 3DS…. It’ll sell.

    ninty are going the wrong way with this though.
    granted it will bring in the cash and maybe there using it to bring in some funds for the wii 2 but how could they possibly need it?
    the wiis sold like hotcakes!
    they really seriously need a wii HD, not only HD but a new gimmick.
    release the same wii mote they have now for there next console and there going to sink faster than the titanic!
    they need to think of a new gimmick, either that or bring it to the next level make it more accurate and easier to use than sonys move.

    A whole new revolutionary box is what they need. I can’t wait to see what they bring to the table. I might just end up buying a Wii 2 after all.

    i would if theres some decent games for it.
    i got rid of my wii because this year theres nothing i want to play for it.
    i missed out on epic mickey and donky kong country returns which is killing me, but once they get that wii emulator running ill play them on my ps3.

    Yeah, I thought of purchasing a wii for DKC Returns. It’s the only Wii game I’m gunning for.
