Apparently, Kinect Causing Xbox 360s To RROD

According to a BBC report, numerous Xbox 360 owners are experiencing difficulty with the console when trying to use the newly released Kinect.

It’s even causing some to give off that infamous RROD flash.

“It’s very disappointing,” a ten year old’s father said, whose 360 died shortly after using Kinect. “We were planning to have a big New Year’s Day party with karaoke microphones and a Take That competition.”

He added: “But now the Xbox is just sitting idle.”

Microsoft disagreed, claiming the matter is just happenstance, and that Kinect was made to work with all Xbox 360 systems.

“There is no correlation between the three flashing red lights error and Kinect,” the MS spokesperson told the BBC. “Aany new instances of the three flashing red lights error are merely coincidental.”

Have you had any bad experiences with Kinect and your Xbox 360? Let it be known.

but i thought the new units got rid of the RROD error completley!
oh M$ when are you going to stop lying to your customers?
what happened to the good old days where false advertisement was illegal?
i had to laugh when i rang M$ customer support a few months ago, i brang up this exact topic that M$ said the newer 360s wont RROD but 2 days after launch youtube was riddled with them.
    his response?
well if you mistreat a product of course its going to break.
i said thats not the point, the point is that M$ said its impossible, they said they removed that error from the system so they lied to us.
the arrogance and stupidity of there employees is baffling!!!!
sony are not much better, im having a few problems with my TV.
rang them on last monday they said they would call me back on tuesday for a solution since the tech department was closed.
they did not ring me back, so i rang them back on wednesday and told them off.
they did not care, pretending its not a big deal after i wasted a whole day at home for nothing!
still did not get a solution so they said they would put me through to there tech team, they did not have the equipment to help me so they would ring me back on friday.
friday arvo they did not ring me back so i rang them and told them off again and said this is honestly the WORST customer support i have ever received.
but as usual he could not care less, saying what do you want me to do?
i said its simple, when you say your going to ring someone back BLOODY DO IT!
than after a bit of bickering he agreed to get a technician out to check out my TV.
was suppose to be here monday but no show.
    tuesday no show.
    wednesday no show.
    thursday no show.
ohhhhhhhh god i seriously feel sorry for whoever answers my phone call tomorrow because there going to get their head ripped off!
i just cant believe how poor their customer service is, ive been in contact with them for over a week now and i have not even got someone out here to have a look at it yet!
oh well, one things for sure.
this will be the very last sony product i ever buy!
no more ps3, no more PSP, no more sony phones, no more sony TVs, no more sony stereos.
thats how they want to treat a 20 year loyal fan than thats fine they can go find the deepest cliff and go leap off it!

ill try, im just so pissed off!
its not bad enough that the stupid things playing up already, only had it like 2 weeks!
you would think a TV with a RRP of 5K would be able to last just a tinsy bit longer than 2 weeks!
what pissed me off more is the amount of times they said they would call me than did not!
but what pissed me off the most is how he acted like its no big deal.
yea, thanks i just stayed home all freaking day when i had heaps of things i needed to get done just so i could wait for there call!
thanks, nice to see how important i am to you.
thats what ill be saying to them tomorrow, im so tempted to take the TV back and ask for a refund!
never in my entire life have i had such poor customer support!
and i thought M$ were bad!
they treated me like a king in comparison!

I have had the opposite experience with Sony. They have been really good when I contacted them. I mean really good.

Yeah, like I’ve said, different regions have different people, you can’t just blame Sony for an employee’s bad behavior. People have issues.
