Ubisoft, in conjunction with Global Market Insite are asking selected participants to answer some questions about the latest Assassin’s Creed game, and ways of possible innovation for the next title in the franchise.
Eurogamer made the list, and we’ve collected some of the information regarding customization options, crafting, and the game’s lead character.
Here’s some of it per the European site:
- An upgrade to the assassin’s blade that increases the fluidity and speed of free-running
- An enhanced Eagle Vision: see the patrol paths of guards, spot clues to complex navigation puzzles, detect when characters are lying during interrogations, etc.
- An intuitive crafting tool that lets you create custom bombs from dozens of ingredients found throughout the game world
- Tactical use of a variety of bombs suited to unique contexts and situations (smoke, poison, flash, explosive, etc.)
- An additional objective where you and your Assassins guild fight against the Templars to gain control of a city, district by district
- Playing as a new Assassin, in a different historical time period
- A continuation of Ezio’s story as the leader of the Assassins, set outside of Italy
- Deeper connectivity between all the Assassin’s Creed projects (eg. an action you make on the Facebook game will impact your game experience on the console; events that you read about in the comics will be related to the storyline of the videogames, etc.)
- Online Cooperative Mode
- Offline Cooperative Mode
- The availability of new maps for the Multiplayer
- A choice of additional Multiplayer characters with new skill-sets
- Playing new Multiplayer modes
- A deeper team-based Multiplayer experience (guilds / squads that have common objectives, new tools for clan management, etc.)
- A customization of the Multiplayer experience (logos, avatars, objects, team names, etc.)
- Ubisoft recently revealed that there will be a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2011, so you won’t have to wait too long to find out which, if any, of these features make the cut.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood came out on November 16th, in the U.S. and on the 19th of the same month in Europe, and has gone on to become Ubisoft’s fastest selling game.
Let’s hope the next iteration truly innovates.

I hope they do not make the game to complicated. Keep it simple and fun.
Agreed, but it’s great to see them at least making an effort to take it to another level. Hope it works out.
I hope they take it to another level, just not at the expense of the fun gameplay.
i wanna see a continuation of ezio’s story, i dont want ubisoft just skipping over the whole story of ezio, like they did with altair
also, i really hope they leave out the multiplayer from the game, i found too be too simplistic, after playing about 8 miniutes of it i got tired of it and never played the multiplayer mode again
oh sorry for writing so much but another thing i dont want to see is connectivity with games like that stupid facebook, i found it dumb, all i played that facebook game for is to get the venice cape & the medici cape in the singleplayer for ACB.
I liked the single player, but you are right it has gotten old. I want them to stick with making a great single player. It would be cool if they added a some co-op stuff like the splinter cell games did. I am not saying make the whole game co-op, but have some co-op feature. Well, I do not know about that. I would like to see it, but I am not sure if it would fit in.
like every idea.
another one they should put in is like what alpha protocol has, have ezio doing certain missions and if you do said mission one way you meet these people and have these doors opened, if you do it another way you have other people and other doors opened.
best way to extend the replayability, but make it meaningful, make it game changing not like most games like heavy rain or infamous where you might get a new cut scene, or different powers, needs to be more meaningful and dramatic than that!
