No 3D Support For LittleBigPlanet 2, Says Sony

by Ernice Gilbert on December 3rd, 2010, under Hot, Media Molecule, News, Sony

How would you like your Sackboy and all his adventures to pop out at your while playing in beautiful 3D? Yes?

Forget it says Sony, the game won’t include said feature… at least not yet.

It was in response to a question posed to SCEA’s Mark Valledor over at the US PS Blog, asking the exec if the game will come preloaded with the feature.

“Sorry, no 3D this time around,” he said.

Strange, especially after Sony confirmed the feature at E3. But whatever, wasn’t a big deal for me in the first place, and in any case, the game will have PS Move support. Give and take friends, give and take.

LittleBigPlanet 2 goes on sale on January 18th in the US. No date for Europe yet.

Thanks, VG247.

Ernice, the release date is January 18 not December. This does not bother me either. Also, It does have Move support.

    evil little!
u sure its got move support?
i remember reading the US blog when they announced the PSN game and someone asked if LBP2 will have move support, and one of the devs replied saying not on release but who knows what comes in DLC.
i hope it has move support, but i doubt it does thats why they did the PSN game.

Yes it does. It’s confirmed through the link.

I think that is was delayed because they were working on Move support, instead of just patching it in later.

Yeah, and Move support makes more sense than 3D in the near term anyway.
