It’s no surprise, but Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood has already topped the 1 million sold mark since going on sale mid November in Europe.
Combined, the franchise has sold over 20 million copies, making it one of the best selling this generation. I remember Ubisoft saying that the it’ll eventually become as popular as Gran Theft Auto, and now that it’s become the publisher’s biggest European launch ever, there just might be some truth to his bold utterance some time back.
“If you compare [the 1m in a week] with last year’s ACII sales this is a big jump – so it’s a great achievement,” Ubisoft EMEA chief of marketing, Geoffroy Sardin told MCV in a recent interview.
Adding: “It’s the best launch in the history of Ubisoft’s European sales, and our best-selling launch title ever.”
Good for them, then. By the way, AC: Brotherhood’s a top game, with some sites hailing it as best in franchise history.
im seriously worried about this, they rushed brotherhood to get it out for crissy and look what happened!
now every man and his dog is lining up to buy it, so guess whats going to happen to AC3.
please ubisoft, for once actually take the time to make your games properly!
i want another AC2 the quality and ambition in that game was so high, if AC3 is not on the same level than one things for sure it will be the last ubisoft game i ever buy!

but they could make just as much cash, if not more if they actually released it last year and made the fixes they should of!
this may sell like hotcakes, but how many sales do you think they have lost from this crappy rushed sequel?
im just about the biggest AC fan, but i certainly wont be buying anymore if AC3 is like this!
