Final Fantasy XIV Sells 630k In One And A Half Months On PC, PS3 Version Coming In March

by Ernice Gilbert on November 4th, 2010, under Hot, News, Square-Enix

It’s probably the worst Final Fantasy game ever created, and the numbers are showing at retail. Final Fantasy XIV have barely managed to break the 500,000 sold mark after being on the market for almost two months.

Bad game, bad sales. The full quencher’s past the jump.

- Europe – 230,000
- North America – 210,000
- Japan – 190,000

Square-Enix boss Yoichi Wada’s confirmed through an investors call meeting, that the PS3 version of the MMO will be released, as planned, in March of 2011, coming with many improvements.

“We’re quickly working on reforms. We’d like to put our full power into regaining trust,” he said.

“If we satisfy our users, they will return. On the other hand, once the users say, ‘forget this,’ there’s no turning back. We can only recover our trust so far.”

Thanks, Andriasang.
