Ernice, Major Nelson said 42 Million sold in 35 countries and 35 countries are not worldwide numbers. 35 countries is where Xbox Live is available because he’s the Director of Programming of Xbox Live. Xbox 360 is sold in more than 36 countries since 2005..so those other countries you don’t count or believe in them? You can obviously use the numbers you want, that’s up to you obviously. I’m just telling you the truth, the decision is entirely up to you. PS. MS and Sony Revenue numbers are 100% real by hundreds of legal reasons, and it was Microsoft who came with them too, not major nelson…Major Nelson only said sold in->35<-countries but i've explained already. Am i saying stuff that doesn't make sense or something? :\

If Major Nelson said 42 million, I think I’ll go with those numbers. Because it was not even Nelson who came up with them in the first place, it was Microsoft.

No. Their fiscal years starts in a different month but their quarter earnings cover the exact same months for both. None of them have the ability to know how much they sold to customers, they only know how many they sent to retailers. No one is lying man, those are official reports and none of them is “especial” as if ” I sold mine to customers but you shipped yours!”. Those numbers could also be over-shipped consoles, meaning that one of them might be close to selling them while the other one is not but thats something we won’t know. The point is, both are sold to retailers, there’s no pretty boy in here and that major nelson was referring to countries with xbox live when he said 42 million. In reality 44.6 and 41.6 is the best number numbers we’ll ever get from them.

Sony stated earlier this year that when they release sales numbers, it would the number of units sold to customers, not retailers. So, if they were telling the truth, then they have sold 41.6 million units, and MS has shipped 44.6.

c’mon guys, read a little. Microsoft and Sony both reported their official shipped numbers in their Q2 earnings.

Sony: 41.6
MS: 44.6

Gap= 3 million

Major Nelson clearly said Sold in 35 Countries (Not WW). Sold and shipped numbers are not the same. You are using Microsoft’s “sold” numbers against sony’s shipped numbers. Even if those 42M sold were true, don’t think for a moment that sony’s (41.6) shipped numbers are sold.

The reality is that Xbox 360 launched in 36 countries in 2005. We’re almost in 2011 and more countries have been added to the list. Major Nelson is talking about consoles sold in the 35 countries where XBOX LIVE IS AVAILABLE.

You can check Wikipedia and there’s 35 countries with xbox live.

In other words, there’s 42M xboxes where Xbox Live is available. There’s 44.6 360′s Shipped worldwide and 41.6 PS3′s shipped worldwide.

A lot of fun. I am so glad to see him, and my Mom. Yeah, I hope to get NFS from gamefly for ps3. I had my best game yesterday on MOH, I had 46 kills, and 4 deaths. I will probably get the platinum for MOH. I only have one online trophy left, and few on the single play, but I do not think it will be that hard.
